Before I make my horrible confession let me just say that I don’t have cable TV, OK? I’m still in the stone age and my TV still has the bunny ears (half the time I don’t get a clear picture). But I have fallen into a routine of the devil on Sundays. Sunday is my laundry day, cleaning day, and nap day all rolled into one. Its also when I keep the TV on as back ground noise. Because of this I have seen way too much of CSI:Miami Weekends (yeah thats right, WEEKENDS bitches) that I actually know the freaking plot! I know their (lack of) character development. I know too much! Curse you David Curso! Stop with your one liners! Your head tilt! and your ‘fists on hips to show authority” stance. O god.
I’m so embarrassed.

I don’t know about you, but I always struggle with gift ideas for my father. Him and I are very alike but there are only so many times you can buy the man cigars without fearing that you may be the reason he might get cancer. This is on tap in many bars here in Portland, is a pretty dark amber ale with tons of roasted malt. And if you get a chance to get it in bottle form, the caps are pretty awesome

Hooch is a colloquial nickname for an illegally distilled corn or grain-based alcoholic beverage, also known as moonshine, PGA (pure grain alcohol), or creek water. The creators and imbibers of hooch generally understand the relative inferiority of the product compared to aged whiskeys, but it’s a risk they are willing to take for an inexpensive intoxicant. Hooch production usually begins under cover of darkness, as the distiller creates a mash of corn, sugar, water and active yeast in a large copper pot. The interaction between the yeast and the sugars converts a portion of the mash to ethanol, the basic form of alcohol present in all consumable alcoholic beverages.
